Our Simple Ground Rules

A Mini Ray of Hope was inspired by Eshaa from India, and
Lucy from Northern Ireland, who wish to care and make a difference, and just maybe this group will give inspiration to others to follow in their footsteps. It is hoped that the group will develop leadership qualities, and a global social awareness amongst children with an interest.

Interested in joining contact don@unesco.co.uk

As these are young members a degree of protection must be afforded them.

Members will only be referred to by first name and country.
No activity will be attempted without parental participation.

The young leaders may get support from their friends, but will not interact with others except through their parents.
The focus of their care may be in their own country or overseas. Our only desire is that the energies
are channelled into helping others not as fortunate.
The collection of money is not desirable but rather necessitous items like pencils, rubbers, rulers, cuddly toys etc etc . If a money contribution is convenient then a focus can be researched – for example £9.40 feeds over 300 children in
Philippines.
There are many ways to assist – but friendship is the most valuable of commodities.
No activity will commence without at least a skeleton strategy being put in place.
The journal will also be used to promote interesting contributions from children across the globe.
All ideas from our young ones will be worthy of consideration as some investigation will always be needed to guarantee the appropriateness and viability.
Apologies for so many rules but we think they are essential.

Founder Members Eshaa and Lucy

Founder Members Eshaa and Lucy
Eshaa, (India) discovered that there were children close to her home that would enjoy cookies so rather than spending her pocket money on herself she visited her new friends and shared some happiness. Lucy, (Northern Ireland) has always adored cuddly toys but now she wants to share her joy with others collecting cuddlies for those who would appreciate them.

Purpose of Posts

The purpose of posts will be to not only show the various activities and achievements but also to add a bit of fun when interesting stories or photographs appear from across the globe.

Journal Description

A Mini Ray of Hope is a small journal created to allow our younger friends to express their aspirations and also to help when they get the inclination and the time. No contact will be made with the children through a third party and parents will be involved in every activity. If your child has an interest in participating some small project can be designed to allow them to make a difference.
